7 guys going to college go out and kill a limit of early season canada geese. My buddies’ shooting skills weren’t too great but they got better towards the end. One guy learned the hard way not to bring his 20 GA. along when you’re shooting honkers! —Wide Open Waterfowling—

Generally aiming and shoot works better than just pointing and pulling the trigger as fast as possible.
Work on the calling too.

Pretty sure a 20 ga is just fine I probably would have shot more birds but I wasnt a very good shot that day. Same power just smaller pattern. We were in the one part of ND with all the geese

this vid was sick where in nodak were you guys? and I completely agree with leaving the 20 ga at home. when my 12 ga was broken i had to use my youth 20 and it took literally 5 shots for me to finish a crippled goose on the water….

A 20 ga. will work just fine for ducks, but if you plan on hunting geese make sure you can pull off head shots unless you can get the birds within 15-20 yards everytime.

i will tell you one thing…a youth 870 20 guage has been the hardest kicking gun i have ever shot… it think it was too small for me…so get a gun that fits you
