Why would you hunt cranes when you are in the goose capital of the world. Cranes just get in the way of good goose hunting. Monster cranes, that is funny.

yea rite, i hit one twice about 20 feet away with 3 inch magnum steel BB shot, the first time its ass dropped down, the second its head dipped down it turned on its side fell then recovered and kept going, were i live are local airport(for brush planes) has federal permits for sandhill crane geese and deer, i havent killed one yet, ive hit about 6 and saw a report. these are tough fucks to kill

how about those pretty white ones?

JK, I know that’s def illegal anywhere! But, it drives me crazy to know that NE has spent tons for people to travel all over to watch a freakin bird!

Hey dumbass. Sandhill Cranes are not a protected species. That would be Whooping Cranes. Get your shit straight next time.

very nice guys, i hunt cranes around long lake when i can.

Very interesting you tried to decoy them because i’ve never seen cranes be decoyed EVER. Silhouettes have worked in the past to get the birds interested enough for them to fly over and let us get a shot.

One recommendation, don’t mix your goose/crane decoys together. geese and cranes don’t get along too well and are usually neutral.

Very nice to see you guys roll them
